OUR PASTOR
The Psalmist writes in Psalm 118:24
"This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."
I praise God every day for our loving community of Christ. I also praise God for the opportunities given each of us daily to be the "hands and feet" of Jesus Christ in the Smithton community.
The children's song says it this way: "The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple, the church is not a resting place, the church is a people. I am the church! You are the church! We are the church together!"
Jesus gave us a new commandment: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
Let's strive every day to be more loving, to be more like Jesus!

The mission of Smithton United Methodist Church is:

Our vision statement for Smithton United Methodist Church is:
"To reach our community with the love of Jesus for the growth of God's Kingdom."
These statements both beautifully reflect the loving nature of the community that is this church. Each and every day folks in this church family are reaching out into the greater community to share God's grace and love through generous service.
We really are committed and very intentional about being genuine in our efforts to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, and to reach our community with the love of Jesus.
We hope you'll come to one of our events or to Sunday worship to see and feel who we really are. For us it's not so much about religion as it is about relationship!
